Snapshots from a Sunday, vol. 5

The person who tries to live alone will not succede as a human being.  His heart withers if he does not answer another heart.  His mind shrinks away if he hears only the echoes of his own thoughts and finds no other inspiration.
-Pearl S. Buck

12:00 a.m. (EST)- Melbourne, Australia
The eyes of God through a child’s eyes- looking at YOU!
Our Ruby Mary Veronica just as she woke up from a nap at the park with the family.

Lisa @ All Things Gale
somewhere between 1 and 2 a.m.  or else I’m lying completely since I can’t see anything without my contacts;  it really could have been anywhere between 11 and 7 a.m.-  Frederick, MD
In typical third child fashion, our child enjoys the luxuries of his parents’ bed, while his bassinet holds the dirty laundry.

2:32 a.m.- Detroit, MI
After realizing that I did not have an SD card in the “good camera” and a frantic search of the house for a SD card, I had to go back to work. So I snapped this picture with my cell phone.. The glow of the laptop really lights up a room!  Children and Hubby were all snuggled up in bed, I on the other hand was busy working!   This was my view from midnight until roughly 8am – the art supplies on the table in front of me a constant reminder of the visual aid project due on Monday morning.

Micaela @ California to Korea
between 3-4 a.m. (EST)- my kitchen in Daegu, South Korea
This is my life almost every night after dinner.  I really hate dishes, and my dear sweet baby makes it about a million times worse by taking out every dish, plate, and sharp utensil he can reach. He crawls from the far reaches of the house as soon as he hears the clatter of dishes. Note he is actually standing ON the dishwasher door. One second after I took this I achieved Supermom status by rescuing the poor plate before it shattered.

Ana @ Time Flies When You’re Having Babies

Stretch the Cat keeps me company during one of my hourly trips to the bathroom to empty my bladder.
Thank you, pregnancy.

Lucy, an honorary member of the family, graciously posed for me.
If I had thought to check back with Cari’s post yesterday and had seen that she had signed me up for 5:00 a.m. I totally would have set my alarm.

Despite the chaos and busyness around her, Miss Greta is all smiles for the camera. Who can resist our little beauty or her wide open grin? She’s the perfect addition to our Sunday morning brunch.

Again, thank you to everyone who contributed!  If you didn’t get a chance to email your picture yet, send it in, and I’ll add it to the post.

I’m fully expecting May’s Snapshots to feature at least three newborns, and if you’d like to play along next month beside the gratuitous display of fertility and new life, please contact me.
